About Whole and Parts

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

The Whole of Reality is divided into many overlapping Parts. Most of the Humans look at Wholes and Parts (Smaller Wholes, Contexts) from a Static Perspective but the Whole is also a Dynamic Entity. The Parts are overlapping because many people don’t know how to define the right categories. Overlapping, confusing, part/whole relations are the sole cause of every conflict and war.

The Static and the Dynamic can be divided in two parts. In the first part of the Static we combine the Parts in a different way (Combine, Create). In the second part of the Static we define a Boundary around a part of the parts to protect the Territory (Control). In this case an Outside and an Inside is created.

The Dynamic can be divided in a Causal part (Time) and a Connected Part (Space). In the first part we create a Causal Network in the second part we create a Relationship Network (Social).

The Four (4) Parts of the Two (2) Parts of the Whole can be divided deeper and deeper. The Next division generates sixteen (16) Perspectives.

The big problem is to Name all the Division with a proper Term. Have a look at the Model Below.

It becomes much easier when the Names are substituted by Numbers. First we have to create a Number System. We use the same procedure.

We start with the Whole Numbers. They are used to Count. We could also use the Prime Numbers since they are the basic parts of the Whole Number System.

The Rational Numbers are the result of the operation of division. They can be represented by the harmonic series (1,1/2,1/3,1/4,..).

Irrational numbers (Pi, e, phi, sqrt(2)) capture the static relationships, the rules of the whole. They are not numbers because it is impossible to count with them. Irrational numbers can be constructed by combining the parts of the harmonic series;

Imaginary numbers capture the transitions (cyclic change) and transformations (change of form) of dynamic relationships.

In the next part we have a look at a very old (5000 BC!!) Universal Rule System of the Whole Numbers. This System is called the Lo Shu. The Lo Shu is a 3×3 Magic Square. Every straight line of three numbers adds up to the number 15. The Magic, Every Sum of Three Amounts to 15, is the General Rule that keeps the Opposites together. It is a very Simple Rule with spectacular consequences.

The 3×3 Magic Square shows a very old wisdom, “Everything Comes in Three“. Two Opposite Forces are always balanced by a third Force, the Mediator.

When we subtract every number of the Lo Shu (Left) with the number in the center (5) a new Magic Square appears (Right) with a zero sum.

This Magic Square shows interesting symmetries:

1. The numbers (8,2), (9,1), (4,6), (3,7) have a zero sum. They are Opposites if we use the number 0 as the Center of the Opposites of the Whole Numbers. In this way we are able to reduce the numbers to five (0,1,2,3,4).

2. The numbers (3,2) and (1,4) add up to 5. They combine in a “strange” 2×2 Magic Quadrant. If we transform this quadrant to a base 0 (by subtracting 1), the Magic 2×2 Quadrant can be transformed into a Binary Quadrant (11,01,10,00) again with interesting symmetries. The basic forces are brought back to two, Expansion and Contraction (Yang and Yin, 0 and 1) with the “0′ in the Middle.

There are many more symmetries to be found in the basic Magic Square of the Universe but it is impossible to explain them all in this small blog. One of the most important symmetries in the Lo Shu is a Cycle. It helps you to travel the many possible combinations on every level.

The Old Chinese Scientists used the Symmetries of the Lo Shu to create a cycle called the Sheng Cycle. This Cycle is the Cycle of the Seasons but also the Cycle of the Body (Acupuncture), the Cycle of the Context (Feng Shui) and the Cycle of Astrology.

Below is a small part of a huge correspondence table that makes it possible to reuse the practice of one field  of Science (Nature, The Seasons) in a completely different practice (Medicine, Psychology).

If You are Angry You are in the Negative State (Counter the Clock) of the Spring State of the Sheng Cycle (called the Insulting Cycle) and you will have problems with your Liver and Gallbladder.

Something, an Idea You cannot Express, wants to Come out to expand in the Summer-State.

Perhaps You Have to start a Design but do you have a Plan?

What is the Whole You are Looking at?

What are the Boundaries?

Other scientists found many more relationships between the Lo Shu and Physics (Tony Smith), The I Tjing (Chris Lofting), The Tarot, Archetypes (Jung), Myths (Campbell), Historic Cycles (McKenna), Personality Types (MBTI, Enneagram), Left/Right Brain (Chris Lofting) and much more.

How to use all this knowledge

1. Always look at the Outside of the Boundary of the Context you want to analyze. If you cannot divide a Context in an Inside and an Outside you have done something wrong.

2. Always look at the Static AND the Dynamic part of the Context.

3. The Dynamic Part of the Context is related to a Cause/Effect-pattern (Time). Something is happening!

4. Look at the Social Dynamic Part of the Context. Entities, Objects, Roles, Humans are connecting the Time Lines. They are the Relations in your Static Model.

5. Always try to find New Combinations. If the Context is blocked it wants to move to another Time Line. Remove the Blockages!

6. If you want to analyze the Context one step deeper (16/25 perspectives, watch out, can you handle this?) try to make all the combinations that are possible. Use the Table in this Blog or create Your Own table (Fun). Read the PDF of Chris Lofting! Always use the Sheng Cycle!

7. Want to move much deeper? Use the Whole Numbers. Find Patterns (Irrational, Imaginary Numbers) and transform the patterns into Words. Use Fairy Tales, Myths, Archetypes, Music to explain the transformation.

8. Always Move Up in the Sky (Abstract, Fuse, Integrate) and Down to Earth (Implement, Try Out). Try to Unite what You have Divided. Keep an Overview. Reflect.

There is much more to say but I think you have enough food to digest.

How Long Is Too Long to Suffer From Back Pain?

Nothing makes a long day even longer than having to deal with back pain. If you’re suffering from lower back pain, even simple tasks like picking up a bag of groceries can feel overwhelming.

What’s more, the cause of your lower back pain may be more complicated than the actual twisting or lifting that brought it on in the first place — and preventing future pain means getting to the source of what caused it.

“If you wait to do something about lower back pain until it’s become debilitating, you’ve waited too long,” says Dr. Hosun Hwang, spine specialist at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. “Most people’s back pain dissipates in about a week or two, but if your pain is long-term or chronic, it’s time to see a spine specialist.”

What causes back pain?

Lower back pain may feel like aching, burning or sharp or dull pain that fluctuates in intensity from mild to severe. It can be due to a sports injury, from twisting or lifting something heavy or from working in your yard.

Dr. Hwang says back pain can happen to anyone, but some factors can increase your risk, including:

  • Age – older adults may be more susceptible to osteoarthritis and disc deterioration
  • Occupation – employees in jobs requiring repetitive bending, heavy lifting or long periods of standing or sitting are more likely to suffer back pain. Prevent this with the Best gaming chairs.
  • Weight – excess weight adds stress to the spine and back muscles
  • Activity level – having a sedentary lifestyle, as well as weak back muscles and lack of core strength, make it easier to injure your back
  • Smoking habits – smoking decreases blood flow, reduces your body’s ability to heal and increases the risk of osteoporosis

“Chronic back pain may be caused by a variety of underlying conditions,” explains Dr. Hwang. “From spinal arthritis to sciatica to herniated discs, a spine specialist has the expertise needed to pinpoint the cause of your chronic back pain and develop a treatment plan that may resolve the issue or at least improve your quality of life.”

When to see a spine specialist for chronic back pain

Sometimes back pain comes on quick, and you know exactly what caused it. After some stretching, resting and pain relievers, you’ll remember to bend with your knees next time.

But, other times, people experiencing back pain are often left thinking: I don’t even remember when the pain started or what I did to cause it. The reality is that the source of you back pain may not always be evident — which can also make it hard to know when it’s time to see an expert.

Dr. Hwang says the following five signs likely indicate that it’s time to see a spine specialist for your back pain:

1. Your pain is severe. While some back pain is only mild to moderate, severe back pain is when your pain is constant, intense or gets worse when you’re resting or at night.

2. Your pain is persistent. If your back pain lasts longer than three months, it’s considered chronic and may require a tailored treatment plan.

3. Your pain isn’t isolated to your back. If your pain is traveling down your leg, you have numbness or weakness in your hips or legs, or you’re experiencing tingling in your legs and feet, it may be a sign that there’s pressure on your spine.

4. Everyday activities have become difficult. If your back pain is already affecting routine activities, don’t let it get so debilitating that it keeps you from doing things you enjoy.

5. You have other symptoms that are concerning. While rare, back pain is sometimes a sign of a serious medical condition, such as a spinal infection or spinal tumor. If your back pain is accompanied by fever, unexplained weight loss or bowel or urinary problems, tell your doctor.

If you’re experiencing any of these signs, a spine specialist can investigate the underlying cause of your back pain through imaging tests, such as X-ray, CT, MRI or myelogram. A myelogram uses contrast dye injected into the spinal canal with a CT scan to evaluate the spine. Or, your specialist may recommend an electromyography (EMG) — a test of your muscles and nerves.

“There are several ways to treat chronic back pain, including medications, physical therapy, injections and surgery — with the best treatment option usually depending on the cause and severity of your pain,” says Dr. Hwang. “We always start by using the least invasive, most effective treatment first. However, surgery may be necessary in some cases.”

Regardless of what’s causing your back pain, a spine specialist has the expertise needed to design a targeted treatment plan aimed at resolving your lower back pain and improving your quality of life.

About Cradle to Cradle

Friday, August 15th, 2008

In 1998 William McDonough and Michael Braungart wrote an article called The NEXT Industrial Revolution. It was the start of a new sustainable design philosophy called Cradle to Cradle. Cradle to Cradle wants to restore the Natural Cycle.

Cradle to Cradle is based on three pillars: Equity (Social Justice), Economy (Market Viability), and Ecology (Environmental Intelligence).

A citation out of the Next Industrial Revolution:

Many people believe that new industrial revolutions are already taking place, with the rise of cybertechnology, biotechnology, and nanotechnology. It is true that these are powerful tools for change. But they are only tools-hyperefficient engines for the steamship of the first Industrial Revolution. Similarly, eco-efficiency is a valuable and laudable tool, and a prelude to what should come next. But it, too, fails to move us beyond the first revolution. It is time for designs that are creative, abundant, prosperous, and intelligent from the start. The model for the Next Industrial Revolution may well have been right in front of us the whole time: a tree“.

A citation out of Carl Jung, Prologue from “Memories, Dreams, Reflections“:

Life has always seemed to me like a plant that lives on its rhizome. Its true life is invisible, hidden in the rhizome. The part that appears above the ground lasts only a single summer. Then it withers away-an ephemeral apparition. When we think of the unending growth and decay of life and civilizations, we cannot escape the impression of absolute nullity. Yet I have never lost the sense of something that lives and endures beneath the eternal flux. What we see is blossom, which passes. The rhizome remains“.

In the introduction chapter of A Thousands Plateaus, Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, characterize the rhizome by six principles:

  • Connectivity

The capacity to aggregate by making connections at any point on and within itself.

  • Heterogeneity

The capacity to connect anything with anything other, the linking of unlike elements.

  • Multiplicity

Consisting of multiple singularities synthesized into a “whole” by relations of exteriority.

  • Asignifying rupture

Not becoming any less of a rhizome when being severely ruptured, the ability to allow a system to function and even flourish despite local breakdowns.

  • Cartography

A method of mapping for orientation from any point of entry within a “whole”, rather than by the method of tracing that re-presents an a priori path.

  • Decalcomania

Forming through continuous negotiation with its context, constantly adapting by experimentation

Cradle to Cradle (CtC) is a Design Philosophy. Design (Mapping Ideas unto A Model) is the first step in a Cyclic Process or even better a Spiraling Spiral Process.

I don’t know what the Philosphy of CtC is about the other “phases” of the Spiraling Spiral. I have not spend the time to read the Book. I am almost sure CtC is applying the Paradigm of the Age of Enlightment that lies behind the Industrial Revolution. Cradle to Cradle wants to CONTROL Nature by COPYING Nature.

The Question is Do We (and CtC) really Understand How Nature Works?

Is Nature Working at all?

Is Nature Functioning “like-a” Machine?

Are we able to Copy something we don’t Understand?

What are We Copying?

Is Copying without Insight perhaps a Way to Create something New?

Does it Matter if we are Creating Something New without Knowing what We are Doing”?

Is Life Itself not just a Creating Force exploring Every Possibility Available?

What is Wrong and What is Right?

The most interesting point in the article about the Next Industrial Revolution is the Use of the Tree Metaphor.

The Tree is a very old Symbol. It represents something that starts at the Bottom (Earth) and Moves Up. When it Moves Up is expands into a Hierarchical Network. At the top of the Tree of Life (or the Axis Mundi) the Ultimate Power, the Giver of Movement and Measure, is situated. Behind the New Industrial Revolution the Hierarchy (UP) and the Part (One;Tree) of the Whole (Many;Forest) becomes visible. If we are Moving UP we are Abstracting (or Imagining with Reason).

Jung, Deleuze & Guattari look at the The Down, the Primal Source, The Unknowable, the Invisible or the Unconsciousness. The Invisible is covered by Dark Earth. It is indestructible, connected, divers, not-linear, experimenting and adapting. The Invisible is the Rhizome. Every Year out of the Invisible Rhizome A Beautifull Rose Grows and Blossoms. “What we see is blossom, which passes. The rhizome remains“. (Jung).

If we Move Down we are Acting In The World instead of Looking at the World (The Observer).

When we move Down we have to become Practical.

What is the Practical Use, The Engineering Perspective, of the Rhizome?

There are Infinite Perspectives on our Reality and Engineering is just One of Them. We could add a Social Perspective and an Ecomic Perspective just like Cradle to Cradle is trying to do but there is more. We could add a Poetic and an Artistic Perspective but there is more. We could add an Animal perspective. We could look with the Eyes of the Ape, the Cat, The Fish, the Tiger, The Bacterium, The Sea, The Clouds, The Weather. We could use our Empathy to Imagine how the Earth, The Sun, The Universe, Molecules, Cells, Atoms, Higgs Particles, Cars, Aeroplanes, Ipods are “looking” at the Ecology of My Garden, Our Village, Your Country, Their Culture. We could even Look at Ourselves.

Are we able to Unite all of these Perspectives? Yes and No.

No: they are Different.

Yes: They are Perspectives and Perspectives are Looking at the Same Thing.

They are looking at the Whole but the Whole is not a Thing. It is a interconnected Adapting Diversity. It is a highly Complex Dynamic Network of Networks of Events. We cannot detect Causality because Causality is related to a Liniair Perspective.  Every Act is the Cause and the Effect of any other Act.

If we look from a Distance (the Observer) we See Repeating Cyclic Patterns that are Self-References.

If we Find these Patterns (Frames of Reference) we Know where the Flow of Nature is moving to for a little while. The Pattern becomes Repetitive. At a sudden moment the Flow moves in another Way and we have to Observe again. If we Move with the Flow we will know Where we are “Allowed” to Build and to Grow. If we Feel the Field we will See that A Building or an Engine is already Designed and wants to Move to Reality. We don’t have to Design. The Design is Immanent. We just have to help to Materialize.

The most interesting Self-Reference to explore is I (You).

I am in the World and the World is in Me.

The Relationship between Chaos Theory, Fractals, Lyapunov, Minkowski and the TAO

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

chaotic attractorChaos theory is the theory of Dynamic (Non-Linear) Systems. Dynamic systems converge to a state called an Attractor.

A fractal is a shape that can be subdivided in parts, each of which is a copy of the whole. This property is called Self-Reference.

Self-Referencial Dynamic Systems are represented by a Strange Attractor .

I want to start with a few citations of HUMAN DIMENSIONS OF CHAOS THEORY: Consciousness, Physiology, Perception, and Psychology by Iona Miller and Graywolf Swinney, ©1992.

Chaos underlies the ability of the brain to respond flexibly to the outside world and to generate novel activity patterns, including those that are experienced as fresh ideas (also fresh behavior, emotions, belief systems, mythologies, etc.).

Chaos results in meaning-laden perception, a gestalt, that is unique to each individual.

Chaos is implicated in human perception as a multi-sensory phenomenon. The controlled chaos of the brain is more than an accidental by-product, like “putting your brain in neutral.”

Indeed, it may be the chief property that makes the brain different from an artificial-intelligence machine. One profound advantage chaos may confer on the brain is that chaotic systems continually produce novel activity patterns“.

Research may reveal that assessments of personality or a personality trait over time generate data that leads to a fractal correlation dimension. Such evidence would confirm that personality or that a particular personality trait may be desribed as a strange attractor of associated behavior”.

In the article they apply Chaos Theory and Fractals to the Human. What they are showing is that Self-Reference (A Fractal) is the Result of a Chaotic Process.

Out of the Chaos of Creativity a Repeating Pattern Emerges.

Chaos is not total randomness, but implies an implicate, “hidden”, or occult order within the nature of reality“.

point attractorThe Repeating Patterns looks Chaotic but when we find the Right Fractal behind the Order in Chaos we can know where the Path is Moving to (the Attractor).

To dig deeper into Chaos we have to dig deep into mathematics. We have to dig so deep that the language becomes almost incomprehensible but let us have a try.

A citation out of More than Synchrony: Chaoticity may be necessary for conscious brain functioning (Juergen Fell ea): “Indeed, estimation of nonlinear EEG characteristicslike dimensions and Lyapunov exponents revealed a pronounced decrease not only of complexity, but also of chaoticity during unconscious states like deep sleep”

” Sufficient dynamical complexity of brain activity, seems to be one more necessary condition.

Without chaoticity our brains might be unable to switch immediately between different oscillatory patterns and thereby different modes of operation”.

A citation out of Some Thoughts on Time, Quantum Mechanics, Geometry and Free Will (Linas VEPSTAS) : “The strange thing for us is, we live in this hyperbolic Minkowski space, but we don’t seem to notice much positive Lyapunov exponents in our lives.

Other than that nature all around us seems to be fractal and self-similar … other than that, we don’t notice.

I sometimes wonder if the quantum-entanglement problems of quantum-mechanics are really some manifestation of life in Minkowski space, some deep connection we haven’t noticed just yet“.

The Lyapunov exponents determine the predictability of a dynamical (Chaotic) system. When we don’t seem to notice much positive Lyapunov exponents in our life we experience life as a “random” process. The main reason that we don’t notice the self-reference is that we are stuck with our own attractor. We are repeating our own patterns all the time and are unable to resonate with the pattern of the Universe.

When the exponents decrease Life become simple again. This happens when we dream. So dreaming is a way “to make things simple“, to “understand what is happening“.

Minkowski space is a four-dimensional space. It was used by Einstein to describe space/time (The Chronotope).

When Space/Time contains positive Lyaponov exponents Space/Time is highly predictable.

This happens when Quantum Entanglement takes place.

cycle attractorQuantum Entanglement (QE) is the Union of seperate Parts into a Whole. QE makes it possible to be in Two or more States at the same moment.

It even makes it possible to Unite with Everything.

QE gives us the feeling that there is something that is connecting us to an Entity on a Higher Level.

When QE happens we are in the AND-state and experience a feeling of Harmony.

When we are not in the AND-state we are in the OR-state.

In this OR-state there are Four “Fractal Attractors” possible. They also give us a “feeling”.

We feel we are Stuck” (Point-Attractor) or

we feel we are “Going Round in Circles (Cycle-attractor)” or

Spirals (Torus-Attractor).

The most Attractive Fractal Attractor, the AND-attractor gives us the feeling that “We are in the Flow (Tao) or in The Now (Chaos)”.

Our Universe is “looking” for Quantum Entanglement. This state of Harmony cannot be perceived in our current 4D-Reality (The Minkowski-Space).

According to Tiller our Unconsciousness connects to another 4D-Reality that is highly related to what the Scientists call Dark Matter.

Out of this Reality The Force of Life (Chi, Prana) is moving into our Body.

If we look at the current state of our World it does not feel as a Strange Feeling that we have to connect to the Force of Life again.

Connecting to this Force is Difficult for us (and me).

Strange attractorThe knowlegde about it is hidden in old “Mysteries” and “Magical practices“.

Many people don’t believe in this or even don’t want to believe in it because it is connected to the Dark Forces.

Strangely enough the Force is also connected to Dark Matter.

It seems we need to enter the Dark to find the Light.

We have to fight and embrace our Dark Shadow (Jung).

Jane Roberts and Wolfgang Pauli Explain the Bridge between Psychology and Quantum Mechanics

Friday, October 26th, 2007

sethThe books of Jane Roberts (1929-1984) had a deep impact on my “Scientific” insight about the Universe. The books of Seth are still valid and many things that were explained by Seth are now proven to be true.

Jane Roberts was a writer and a channel. In this state she was taken over by an entity called Seth.

I became interested in Seth and Jane when I was a student (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Philosophy).

Seth dictated many theories of physics that were at that time (1980) rather unknown. Jane was totally not educated in my field of Science. I wondered how this was possible.

Seth explained that there are four universes where we live in and these four universes are part of a multitude of other universes.

What Seth explained was the so called many-worlds-hypothesis.

It was formulated to explain Quantum Mechanics (The so called Oxford Explanation). Bohr and Heisenberg formulated another explanation (The Copenhagen Explanation).

The four worlds are: the Physical universe, a Dream universe, the Electrical and an Anti-Matter universe (Our Twin Universe). The last one was not explained by Seth. The Twin Universe was outside his Frame of Reference.

Our physical universe is created by the power of our mental projections. When people share the same projections they are able “to Move Mountains”.

You usually think, for example, that your feelings about a given event are primarily reactions to the event itself. It seldom occurs to you that the feelings themselves might be primary, and that the particular event was somehow a response to your emotions, rather than the other way around. The all-important matter of your focus is largely responsible for your interpretation of any events”.

This is an important insight. It is a very powerful tool for change. When a collective projects Peace on Earth or The Restoration of Nature it will happen. The Mass Media could help by projecting “positive thoughts”. At this moment they accomplish the opposite.

Seth also gives an explanation of Time/Space (The Chronotope). Past and Future coexist with the Present. They are created in the Now. This is currently the most interesting theory explaining strange effects (the Bell Tests) in Quantum Physics.

inner selfAll our “Representations (“bodies”)” in Time/Space (the “many worlds“) are in direct contact with something called the Inner Self. The Inner Self is the Observer and it gives “feed-back” to all the representations.

In every representation the Inner Self comes through as Intuition or the “Inner Voice”. It helps its “occurrences” to find Balance or Harmony. Most of the time people are not able to listen. When this happens they move away from their Path (Tao).

The Inner Self also influences our exterior. It gives us Signs. Most people in the West don’t understand or see the Signs.

If they see a Dove in a place where there are no doves (a strange coincedence) they don’t understand that The Higher Self is advising them to follow their Heart and stop Thinking (The Dove is the Symbol of Sufism and Gnostics).

Later in this Blog I want to tell you about Wolfgang Pauli. He was a very intelligent Scientist involved in the creation of Quantum Mechanics. He was gifted with a strange talent called the Pauli Effect.

Everywhere he came “Psycho-Kinetic Effects” started to happen. These effects could not be explained by Science. They were always connected to something Pauli was Trying to Find Out. The Signs contained a Deeper Symbolic Meaning.

Seth explained that to use Jane Roberts he had to shift to another “frequency” in the Universe. His Time/Space was on another “Plane of Vibration“.

To get into contact with Jane he had to create a “Resonance-Pattern (a channel)” with the “Standing-Wave” of Jane Roberts.

When this channel was accomplished he was able to link his Symbols to the Symbols of Jane. Jane was not chosen by accident. Her “State of Mind” was able to resonate with the State of Seth.

When you want to channel your “State” is crucial to the connections you are making in this “strange” Universe. When you’re “wave-length” is “low” you attract “lower” entities of other planes of vibration. They will tell different stories because they are not aware of the “higher” planes.

The same applies to your contacts on Earth. You attract people of the “Same Wavelength“. When you’re wavelength is low this does not mean that You are a Bad Person. It means that something is connected to you that is influencing you’re wavelength.

magicianAlthough this sounds strange people are able to give “their problems” to others. This is a big problem when you are Empathic (from the Heart). I am Empathic and it took me a very long time to understand why I was carrying “Strange Moods” when there was no reason for it.

When you are an Emphat you are able to understand people with ease but when you “move into the other” without any protection the chances are high that you take something over. The Others love you for this. They feel refreshed and happy and You are suddenly in their state.

When we translate channeling in “Getting an In-Spiration” we can see that channeling is not new. It happened in every time in the History of Humanity. An inspiration is received when you are able to Articulate your Intuition. A very important condition is Tension.

When you are looking for an answer and time is running out You suddenly know! Artists use this (called dead-lining) to make sure their expression is the best they can do. They have to wait for the Magic Moment and when this moment appears they are taking over by the Creative Force.

In earlier times these people were called Magicians, Prophets, Druids, See-ers, Artists, Bards and Poets. In our time the distinction is much more difficult to make.

In every place in Society there are people who are equipped with a strong Intuition and/or Empathy. A nice test to find out “What you Really Are” is the Myers Briggs Test.

Many very important discoveries in science appeared when people got into a highly intuitive state induced by Tension. A famous example is the “discovery” of the Benzene Ring by Kekulé.

A very interesting case is Wolfgang Pauli.

ezekielJung (1875-1961) and Pauli (1900-1958) met in 1930 when Pauli asked Jung to help him with his Emotional and Psychological Tensions. Jung reviewed thirteen hundred of Pauli’s dreams and studied a selection from the first four hundred of these. Pauli was a brilliant scientist, highly involved in the creation of Quantum Mechanics.

Jung was never able to understand everything Pauli discovered. He was not a mathematician. What nobody understood at that time was that Pauli was creating the Bridge between Physics and Psychology.

He found this bridge when he started to study Alchemy. He found out that the so called Lumen Naturae (Paracelcus), the Light of Nature, or “Spirit in Matter” was “The manifestation of something deeper, an Unus Mundus that is also the domain of Symmetry“.

He believed that this Light was the Source where “Mind and Matter, Religion and Science originate“.

At this moment Symmetry is the most important issue in Physics. It is needed to solve the “Multi Dimensional String“-equation (The Beta Function) that is played by the Cosmic Violin Player in Super String Theory.

What Pauli discovered was that there are two worlds. The Masculin World of Order (The Circle) and the Female World of Chaos (The Square). When the two worlds connect Synchronicity takes place.

The Masculin World is controlled by Rhythms, Patterns and Clocks. Many people think this is a Power who is Controlling Human Destiny called God.

In reality it a Power that is Able to Create. It is able to create when We, the Humans, use it. It is the Power Seth talks about when he explains the Power of our Mental Projections.

worldclockOne of the most important dreams of Pauli is the dream of the World Clock: “There is a vertical and a horizontal circle, having a common centre. …

The vertical circle is a blue disc with a white border divided into 4 X 8 — 32 partitions. A pointer rotates upon it.

The horizontal circle consists of four colours. On it stand four little men with pendulums, and round it is laid the ring that was once dark and is now golden (formerly carried by four children).

The world clock has three rhythms or pulses:

1) The small pulse: the pointer on the blue vertical disc advances by 1/32.

2) The middle pulse: one complete rotation of the pointer. At the same time the horizontal circle advances by 1/32.

3) The great pulse: 32 middle pulses are equal to one complete rotation of the golden ring. …It is supported by the black bird“.

It is very clear that Pauli saw a “modern” version of the Vision of Ezekiel.

rosarium03The Female World (the Moon) is the World of the Game played on the Square. It is the World where The Human is a co-creator with a Power that shows Herself as a Trickster. The Male World of the Sun is the world of Control and Order. The Male World defines the Rules that are Played when the Game is created.

She is Playing Games to show the Human that he has aquired Free Choice (not Free Will) and HAS TO USE IT. “God” will never interfere with our Free Choice because Our Free Choice is God. God is the creator of the many paths that are there to explore.

When both World (Male and Female) are in Harmony, the Human Co-Creates with The Creative Force (The Dove, The Holy Spirit) of God and moves unto the Path that is created for him to explore. This Path is there to learn the lessons that his Soul has chosen to learn in the Learning Simulator called Earth.

The Past and the Future are already there and the Now is the starting point to move back and forwards in Time and Up and Down in the Six Multi-Universes that are connected to our Seventh Universe, the Universe of the Heart.

The idea that Future and Past are interacting in the Now is called Wheeler-Feynman Absorber Theory. It predicts that the Future influences the Now.

Jung asked Marie-Louise Von Franz (Number and Time) to research the domains of Pauli he was unable to understand.

When I searched the Internet to find more about Pauli  and Von Franz when I found the website of Remo Roth.

HeartChakraRemo Roth and Marie Louise von Frantz worked together to explore Pauli’s heritage.

It is now 33 years ago that I began to dream and have visions about the Seal of Solomon. In one of the first visions dating from July 1973 I saw two open graves. One of them had a tomb stone with a Christian Cross on its top, the other one a stone with the Seal of Solomon, the Heart Chakra, chiselled into its surface”.

“Further, already in 1974 I read in Marie-Louise von Franz’ book Number and Time about a dream/vision/audition of “a modern physicist” that dealt with the Seal of Solomon and the square – exactly the symbolism also my vision talked about.

Of course I was completely fascinated by this vision and asked Marie-Louise von Franz about the dreamer. She allowed me then to publish his name; it was Wolfgang Pauli“.

In April 24, 1948 the foundation of the C.G. Jung institute took place. When Pauli entered the room, a so-called Pauli effect occurred. Without any outer cause a Chinese vase fell onto the floor and the water poured out, resulting in a flood. Symbolically seen, we can say that this psychokinetic event was a Chinese water flood“.

Pauli had begun to deal with the hermetic alchemist Robert Fludd, who wrote his name in Latin as Robertus de Fluctibus. Therefore, we can conclude that these two events belong to a Synchronicity, the psychic (inner) event of it consisting in the tension in Pauli concerning the dispute between Johannes Kepler and Robert Fludd, the physical (outer) event in this strange psychokinetic anomaly, the Pauli effect of the overturned vase, resulting in a flood“.

robert fluddSymbolically seen we can say that the meaning of this flood is as follows: An archetypal conception which has a lot to do with “Watery” and “Being Liquid”, which was still living in Fludd’s hermetic alchemy, but repressed after Johannes Kepler, wishes to be integrated in the new Zeitgeist of the 21st century (The Age of Aquirius, the Water Bearer)” .

In Robert Fludd’s hermetic alchemy the world soul, the anima mundi, was still the vinculum amoris (ligament of love) of matter and spirit. Thus, we can conclude that a meaning of Pauli’s synchronicity is the challenge of going back behind Kepler to Robert Fludd with the goal of finding a new synthesis of the Divine Male Principle with the Female“.

By means of a symmetrical symbol, the Seal of Solomon, which pursued him in so many dreams and visions, Pauli is now able to define the dark female part, matter, as a mirrored image of the spiritual layer, and vice versa. This material trinity unifies with the spiritual one, leading by this into a new sphere, the psyche which he calls here the “realm of the middle” (i.e., China)”.

What Roth is trying to show is that we are at a “Point of Transition“. We have to stop Male Dominance (Order) but we also have to stop Female Dominance (Chaos, The Trickster, Playing Games). What we have to accomplish is a New Synthesis of the Divine Male and the Divine Female principle (The Holy Wedding). We have to start to act with Spirit and our Soul again. We have to use the Creative Power that comes out of our Heart.

The “Realm of the Middle” has a lot to do with China. The Culture of China was aimed at Harmony. The Seal of Salomon “symbolizes a potential world that contains a new creation”. This New World is the world of Aquirius. When we want to find its foundation we have to Move back in History and Start all over Again. We have to become aware that We Are The Creators and we have to Take the Responsibilty for our Creations.

Raimundus_Lullus_alchemic_pageWe have to move back to the time of Alchemists (Fludd, Paracelsus), the Essenes or when you believe this, even to Le-MU-ria to find the “Old Tools of Creation” (The first Emperors of China came from the Land of MU).

As a psychotherapist and healer I have the possibility to penetrate into the deepest depths of the collective soul. Therefore I can testify that this renewed God-image, the Seal of Solomon, is constellated in many humans of today”. “These observations showed me that all these people were or are already being transformed into a modern mystic, even when they did not know this consciously” (Are You aware of this?).

As the well-known Jewish myth researcher Gershom Sholem stresses, the Seal of Solomon or Star of David is not of a specific Jewish origin. This symbol occurs therefore throughout the whole world, in many different cultures, so for example as a symbol of the heart Chakra anahata in the Buddhist and Hindu Tantrism or in the heart of the Sufis of Islam mysticism

This is a citation of Seth: “What we need is a whole new myth of man and his beginnings, one that leapfrogs local gods and places God inside his creatures, within creation. We need a god as blessed or flawed as its creations, a whole new cosmology giving birth to a God that is male and female, Jew, Arab, American, Chinese, Indian; that is within each individual alike; that is not parochial and not man’s alone; a god that is within stones and stars; a god-goddess big enough to be personified as a Buddha, Christ, Isis, Athena, Muhammed-animal god, insect god, tree god; each seen as a local symbol standing for an unexplainable reality that is too super-real to fit our definitions. We need a new myth, imaginative and creative enough to leap above our puny facts

Explaining the Placebo Effect by Counting Stories

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

The unconscious is a new territory for mathematicians and physicists. Jung one of the inventors of the term unconsciousness was convinced mathematics was the key to understand the Unknown.

At the end of his life he asked one of his female pupils Marie-Louise Von Franz to look for the link between mathematics and the unconsciousness.

She wrote the book “Number and Time”. Later I found an article of the mathematician and physicist William A Tiller about the same issue. It is called “Human Psychophysiology, Macroscopic Information Entanglement and the Placebo Effect”. In the article he explains the so called placebo-effect.

The placebo-effect is a funny thing. A pharmacist is a person who wants to treat a disease with a chemical (mostly toxic) substance (a pill). When something that is not toxic (a placebo) heals the same disease he is sad.

He is sad because he is not able to make a profit and he is sad because he has spent a lot of time doing research for nothing. When the placebo-effect occurs people imagine that they are cured and their imagination cures them.

A citation: “In 1999, Enserink wrote a short but very interesting article concerning how greatly the magnitude of the placebo effect in double-blind pharmacological studies had grown in the previous 15 years. He pointed out that “when companies started testing drugs for obsessive-compulsive disorder back in the mid-1980’s, the placebo responserate was almost zero. As time went on, this response rate began to creep upward, up to a point where one could reasonably conclude that some clinical trials failed because of high placebo response rates. A very recent meta-analysis of 19 antidepressant drug trials revealed that the “placebo effect” on average accounted for 75% of the effect of real drugs”.

What Tiller is saying is that a “depression” was cured by believing it would be cured. This happened when people started to believe there was something (a pill) that could cure them.

Again a citation: “The information bandwidth (in bits per second) of the human unconscious is about 1 million times that of the conscious”. The so called unconscious is capable of finding patterns and its capacity to do this is enormous. The unconscious is more conscious than the conscious. Our “problem” is that our conscious is not able to “understand” the other conscious that is part of us. It uses another “language”.

Another citation: “If one counts the entire duplex space as a 4-space, then the entire multidimensional representation is a 7-space. If instead, we count the duplex space as a unique member of the general 8-space, then our reference frame is eleven-dimensional”.

What Tiller is explaining in his language (mathematics) is that besides our own space there exists an unseen space. It is a space we cannot SEE WITH OUR EYES because the capacity to see patterns with our eyes is incapable of seeing the other world. We use the “third eye” to have a look.

In this space you are able to travel with speed >C (the speed of Light). Perhaps you are getting confused now. You know this is impossible. You have learned this at school.

The mathematical reason behind this statement is that it is “impossible” to take the square root of a negative number.

If you define the square-root of the negative number -1 as the letter “i” (imaginary) your problem is gone. The IMAGINARY, “unseen” world, can be combined with the REAL world we SEE. 2 +4i is an example of a combined number.

Another mathematical problem is “division by zero”. You know again this is impossible. You have learned this also at school. This problem is created when you are moving with the speed of light.

The problem can be avoided if you use another concept of space. Division by zero is called a hole and you just navigate trough space avoiding THE HOLE.

Current physics assumes the space we live in consists of billons of billons of holes.

A funny thing is that 5000 years ago Indian science told the same story. They called the holes the bindu’s. The bindu’s where the holes to another world and out of this world something was transported called PRANA. PRANA is called QI (CHI) in China. QI means the force of life.

You have to believe that many (very expensive) experiments have shown that we are living in a very different space you have learned at school. Perhaps your teacher knew he was he was telling the wrong story. He learned when he was learning to become a teacher that young children are unable to understand the new concept of space.

Funny enough young children experience this space when they are sleeping or day-dreaming. When they are at school they believe the teacher and the teacher is believing his teacher and ….

What the experiments also show is something called ENTANGLEMENT. When something is created out of a WHOLE the parts of the whole stay CONNECTED and the connection travels with a speed >C (the speed of Light).

To explain entanglement physicists have accepted there are MANY UNIVERSES and every time a (UN?)CONSCIOUSNESS OBSERVES (becomes AWARE) a new PARALEL UNIVERSE is created.

In our REALITY we SEE one of the possible universes. In our IMAGINARY state we are able to move to all the others. We are even able to travel time because physicists accept the reality that the PAST and THE FUTURE are created in the NOW. They change with every act of consciousness.

Tiller explains that the 4-dimensional unseen space is created by the EMOTIONS.

Now I want to get back to the book “Time and Number”.

A huge part of the book is about China. Jung studied the I TJING with William Reich and was fascinated by the CYCLE (a rotating CIRCLE) of Lo CHI. Remember CHI means “Force of Life”.

The Lo Chi cycle (5000 years old) is described by a magic 3×3 square where all the numbers add up to 15. It has a 5 in the centre.

The magic Lo Chi magic square and related magic squares play an important role in modern physics. They are related to symmetry and symmetry is related to HARMONY and FIELDS.

Funny. The LO-CHI-cycle is exactly the cycle that is explaining the same thing Tiller is explaining.

The book NUMBER and TIME contains a very interesting observation about story-TELLING. When you count (telling = counting) the major persons in an “old” story (myth, fairy tale) and combine the counting with the flow of the story the Lo CHI CYCLE shows itself.

For some reason story-TELLERS were TELLING the same story all over again and again.

They wanted to make sure the concept of the Cycle was handed over and over and over again generation after generation.

The cycle explains one thing Tiller is proving “Your Imagination is the Creator of Your own Reality”.

The most interesting insight I got is that what Jung calls our unconsciousness is more aware than our consciousness. The Unknown is connected to our Emotions. So if you want to create trust them. Trust your gut-feeling and your imagination because they are doing “IT”. You are the Creator of every Situation and Person you encounter in Your Life. They are the Mirror of Your Self.

Spirit and Soul: How the Soul was Wiped of the Earth

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

At the Rommelmarkt in Delft I bought the book Carl Jung and Soul Psychology.

In the book I found an article of James Hillman called Soul and Spirit. The article gave me a lof of insight so I started to look for James Hillman with Google.

I found the following: “Hillman’s 1997 book, The Soul’s Code: In Search of Character and Calling, outlines what he calls the acorn theory of the soul.

This theory states that each individual holds the potential for their unique possibilities inside themselves already, much as an acorn holds the pattern for an oak, invisible within itself.

It argues against the parental fallacy whereby our parents are seen as crucial in determining who we are by supplying us with genetic material and behavioral patterns.

Instead the book suggests for a reconnection with what is invisible within us, our daimon or acorn and its calling to the wider world of nature.

It argues against theories which attempt to map life into phases, suggesting that this is counter-productive and makes people feel like they are failing to live up to what is normal.

This in turn produces a truncated, normalized society of soulless mediocrity where evil is not allowed but injustice is everywhere—a society that cannot tolerate eccentricity or the further reaches of life experiences but sees them as illnesses to be prescriptive and argues against the idea of life-maps by which to try and grow properly.

Instead, Hillman suggests a reappraisal for each individual of their own childhood and present life to try and find their particular calling, the seed of their own acorn.

He replaces the notion of growing up, with the myth of growing down from the womb into a messy, confusing earthy world.

Hillman rejects formal logic in favour of reference to case histories of well known people and considers his arguments to be in line with the puer eternis or eternal youth whose brief burning existence could be seen in the work of romantic poets like Keats and Byron and in recently deceased young rock stars like Kurt Cobain.

Hillman also rejects causality as a defining framework and suggests in its place a shifting form of fate whereby events are not inevitable but bound to be expressed in some way dependent on the character of the soul in question”.

The citations speak for themselves.

What was my insight?

In the article Hillman shows the development of the symbol Soul.

Soul is an ambigouis concept because if it was a well defined concept it could not exist.

He showes that because of the process of definition the soul degenerated in time. The soul was wiped out of the Earth.

Soul is not a concept but a perspective, a mediator. Soul is a reflection of ourselves in streaming water. It deepens Events into experiences. The Soul is the creator of metaphor, dreams, images and fantasies.

Resting in the Centre (citations out of the Zhuang Zi)

Saturday, May 26th, 2007

A friend gave me the Dutch translation of the Zhuang Zi (translated by Kristofer Schipper) for my birthday. In the cover we read “The classic book about Taoism”. Trying to be with the Tao is something I strive for all my life. Getting to know Chinese philosophy started when I was about twenty.

I discovered the I Tjing (and of course Jung) and started to read.

My first manager at ABN was an old Colonel of the Intelligence and he taught me everything about Tzun Zu. Tzun Zu is about fighting a war without fighting. Let your opponent waste his energy until he destroys himself.

I always believed that most of the time you have to do nothing because things go their way (this is called Wu-Wei). I could manage many people and huge projects without spending much time. At a certain moment in time (called the Magic Moment) there is a fork (Chaos Theory) and a choice can be made. The fork can be felt. It feels like there is a lot of flux (Something is coming on don’t know what it is but it’s getting stronger (Blood, Sweat & Tears)).

Clever Managers don’t do anything (they delegate) and only act at the Magic Moment.

When I encountered the Unknown the Zhuang Zi opened itself to me. I understood what was told and what was meant by The Dawn, The Centre, The Loner and The Light.

The message of the Zhuang Zi is very simple and very complex. It is simple if you experience or want to experience the Unknown.

It is utterly incomprehensible when you are still Thinking.

Here are some citations (Translated out of the Dutch text, sorry) that could be helpfull to get out of Thinking.

“Without the Other there is no I and without the I we can’t see a difference”. Every Other is a Mirror. In this Mirror we project Our Self.

“From the moment we have received our body we keep waiting for the moment that we die”. The Fear of Dying is prohibiting us to Live.

“Speaking is not blowing air. People that utter words say something. But what they are saying is changing all the time”. Theories are constantly changing because Words are unable to express What IS. When we become Silent (“Meditate”, “Reflect”) we know everything because there not much we have to know.

“Every creature is “the other” for “the other” and every creature is Yourself for Yourself”. You are the Source of Everything.

“If you take the perspective of the Other you can’t see Yourself”. Don’t look Outside. Look Inside. Everything that is Outside can be found Inside.

“The Other emanates out of Yourself and Yourself depends on the Other”

This is the Law of Complementary Opposites. Just as Life produces Death and Death produces Life and Wrong produces Right and Right produces Wrong. There is no Right and Wrong. They are the sides of the same Coin but we are unable to see the Coin. We are constantly flipping from one side to the other side.

“If this is true, is there really “The other” and “Yourself”?

“If we merge the Two we enter in the Centre of the Wheel (The Tao)”.

“In the Centre there is no movement”.

“We come to rest and live in the Light”.

The Only thing we have to do is to Stay and Act out of our Centre, The Heart.

I will tell you a little secret.

The Zhuang Zi contains many references to an old civilization called MU. In the City of Xian (mentioned in the Zhuang Zi) the Chinese have for a long time hided a White Pyramid that contains the same pictures as the famous Pyramids of the Mayas.
